Blockbuster, the DVD and video rental company is closing the last of its remaining stores.
Unfortunately, the company’s Administrators have been unable to locate a buyer for the business, and as a consequence the last of the 91 stores throughout the UK are to be closed. This also means that the remaining 800 strong staff will be made redundant.
The company entered administration for the second time in October. The company first entered insolvency in January after facing fierce competition from online rental and video streaming competitors.
