Many companies and small businesses in the North West were badly affected by the severe flooding of last December. A proportion of these face on-going cashflow, debt or potential insolvency issues.
The problem was highlighted in a comment from the Federation of Small Businesses reported in the Independent newspaper. The article stated that nearly 20{06aeb1921e0b802d2bd9c766bc98fb11cc6a46c2b0593ed9c88a0e29cf417a34} of businesses affected by floods last winter have not yet recovered and are still not fully operational. The national chairman, Mike Cherry, said this could be a “troubling indication” of what could lie ahead this winter.
