Insolvency litigation exemption extension

It is understood that the exemption of Insolvency litigation from the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders (LASPO) Act will continue for the time being. Various trade bodies have lobbied for the continuation of the extension as otherwise it would be impossible in many cases to fund legal action to reclaim debts owed by directors or third parties to creditors. Good news for creditors as it means culpable Directors may potentially still be brought to task in cases where funding is limited and could otherwise prohibit legal action.
